Berry Ulokam Sari

“Ulōkam” translating to “metal” in Tamil, features a complex plain weave consisting of one yarn of linen and one yarn of rose gold zari in the weft, paired with a linen warp giving it a unique drapey fall. Inspired by a traditional South Indian layout the design incorporates contrasting textural borders that are distinct from the body, separated by a highlight of green. The fabric is rendered in a berry hue, culminating in a striking metallic pallu.
